The purpose of the sale is to help the hungry, the homeless, the war torn, the sick, the handicapped, and the illiterate, in the “NAME OF CHRIST.” Monies raised will be channeled through the Mennonite Central Committee — the cooperative relief and service agency for Mennonite and Brethren in Christ church groups.
MCC, founded in 1920, has over 1,000 people in service in 58 countries around the world and throughout North America in a variety of programs. Because MCC is a largely volunteer organization, nearly 93% of MCC funds reach those in need. Find out more about Mennonite Central Committee and its mission to relieve worldwide suffering.
Pigeon River supports this sale which is the first Saturday in August every year. If you would like to know more about this ministry contact the church office.
